Album: AFTERGLOW Artist: SARAH MCLACHLAN The reigning queen of singer-songwriters weaves her haunting spell of love and loss throughout this powerful album. McLachlan evokes scenes, images, and characters underscored by the lush, dark chords, powerful rhythms and rich arrangements which are her trademark. Highlights include "World On Fire" and the unforgettable "Train Wreck".

Album: TIM McGRAW, GREATEST HITS VOL. 2 Artist: TIM McGRAW
Tim McGraw is one of contemporary country's finest singers and his love songs are already becoming classics. This album of greatest hits is a mix of love songs and livin' songs. It includes "Like We Never Loved At All" (with Faith Hill), "She's My Kind of Rain," and "When Stars Go Blue." Gone are country music's days of hokey, cry-in-your-beer, broken-hearted bust-up songs; these tracks are beautifully-crafted, heartfelt, and passionate.

Album: ONLY THE LONELY (Remastered) Artist: FRANK SINATRA
Sinatra recorded dozens of great love songs, many of them about love-gone-wrong. Several are classics of the genre but, for me, there is one album that stands apart, remarkable for depth and immediacy of Sinatra's performance. He recorded the album shortly after his breakup with Ava Gardner. Afterwards and for the rest of his life, he told friends that she was the only woman he ever really loved. Judging by this album, that was certainly the case. If you're nursing a broken heart and want a little company, then this is the album for you.

Album: ROMANZA Artist: ANDREA BOCELLI
Italian is truly the language of love and Bocelli lets everyone know it. Perhaps these 15 songs are even more romantic because we can imagine our own words and images while the music plays. Bocelli's warm, resonant vocals connect with the heart in a way few other singers can match. Romanza is the perfect title for a perfectly romantic album.

Album: THE VERY BEST OF BURT BACHARACH Artist: Original Artists
No one wrote love songs like Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Although the album headlines Bacharach and does include his work with other collaborators, the stand-out tracks are the ones everyone thinks of first: "I Say a Little Prayer," "The Look of Love," "Do You Know the Way to San Jose," "What the World Needs Now," "Anyone Who Had a Heart," and more. Simply unforgettable. Amazingly timeless. Always heartfelt.

Album: TWENTYSOMETHING Artist: JAMIE CULLUM
He may only be twentysomething but he channels a mix of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald blended with a modern rock sensibility for a truly unique sound. On this album he takes on love song standards like "I Get A Kick Out Of You" and gives them a whole new twist. Another high point is the haunting Jimi Hendrix hit, "Wind Cries Mary." Cullum's choice of love songs is eclectic and impeccable. His interpretations are surprising, exciting, and unforgettable. This is definitely worth checking out! Listen to a few samples and Amazon.com. You'll come away blown away.

Album: GREATEST HITS Artist: FLEETWOOD MAC
Fleetwood Mac's love songs are arguably some of the best ever written and here they are, packed into a single CD! From the joyful "You Make Loving Fun" to the mysterious "Rhiannon" and angry betrayal of "Go Your Own Way." This band wrote from the heart and you can hear it in every note. If you're a Love Song Lover, there are few albums more satisfying than this. A must have!

Album: BACK TO BEDLAM Artist: JAMES BLUNT
James Blunt's two huge hit singles, "High" and "You're Beautiful," fully express this singer-songwriter's passionate vocal style and extraordinary ability to capture the emotional depths and heights of love. He sings and writes with the voice of a true muse-driven poet. This is a not-to-be missed album for those who who like their pop/rock personal and driven by passion. Every song is a knockout!

Album:THE BEEKEEPER Artist: TORI AMOS
Tori Amos writes unusual, original, honest, immensely captivating songs and sings them with a unique style that makes the lyrics come alive. 'Bittersweet' is the word that best describes these songs and Amos's relationships with men and with life. The stunning "Sleeps With Butterflies" is typical of this singer-songwriter's ability to paint portraits of people, of emotions, of people caught up in emotions. She has reined in some of her previous vocal preciousness and now uses her voice to pull you into her intriguing tales of encounters brief and not-so-brief. Highlights include: "Sleeps With Butterflies," "Ireland," "Sweet The Sting," and "Parasol."

Album: NO NAME FACE Artist: LIFEHOUSE
This debut album is Romantic Rock with a capital "R". Passionate lead vocals by Jason Wade set the tone and the band backs him up with conviction. This album is a favorite with visitors to our site and with me, too. Its potent mix of music and lyrics has one listener writing a caution to guys: "Be careful what girl you play it around."

Album: BACK AT ONE Artist: BRIAN McKNIGHT
Brian McKnight is one of that breed of R&B vocalists, stretching back to Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson, with an unerring instinct for the sexy. His warm, husky vocals virtually surround you in sensuality. He is also a fine songwriter with a gift for the poignant lost-in-love songs and come-hither ballads that fill this album. This is primo curl-up-with-your-best-baby music. Yeah!

Album: TANTO TEMPO Artist: BEBEL GILBERTO
Bebel Gilberto, daughter of famed brazilian guitarist Joao Gilberto, proves that when it comes to love songs there is no such thing as a language barrier. Although she sings in Portuguese, there is no mistaking for one moment the warmth and playful charm of these songs. It is simply infectious. There is arguably no more joyful, sensuous beat than the bossa nova and here it is in all its glory BUT updated with an underpinning of electronica that adds an edge to it all. Producer Suba has a small but ardent cult following among trance fans for his unique blending of sinuous latin beats with ambient electronica. On Bebel's album this blend leans heavily toward the latin beats but you can still hear Suba's unusual signature sound. A feast for the ears.

Album: BLONDE ON BLONDE (Reissue) Artist: BOB DYLAN
Hey all you Alt Rock fans, lend me your ears. Smashing Pumpkins didn't appear out of nowhere. This is the daddy of them all. The fountainhead. The source. The inspiration. Give a listen to Dylan's 11-minute masterpiece "Sad-Eyed Lady Of the Lowlands." Yes, I said 11 minutes and it's no re-mix; this was the original release. It was courageous and it was - and still is - one of the greatest lost-in-love songs ever written. This album is Dylan at his raw, poetic, muse-inspired best.
