Looking for a special song for Valentine's Day or a wedding reception? ITunes probably has it - they've got thousands of songs and every one of them is just 99¢ We will be adding links to as many of the songs on our Top 20 Love Songs, Best Wedding Songs and Visitors Favorites lists as we can. It's going to take a while but we'll get there.

I've been giving music-related gifts to my friends and family for a long time. Most of them are not musicians or songwriters but the joy and fun and fascination of music is something everyone can enjoy. So we've added a page of Gifts Ideas for music and love song lovers to the Sound Experience site. We're sure you'll find some great ideas for the music lover in your life! We've added a new page to the site of Wedding CD's. These items are available through our affiliation with Amazon.com. By listening to music samples and poring over reviews of these products, we chose what we consider to be the best wedding CD's available. If you're planning a wedding or looking for a bridal shower gift, be sure to have a look.


We have finally been "discovered" by the Yahoo Search Engine! Well... we have always been there but when people searched for the terms "love songs" and "top love songs" we showed up on about page 15! Very frustrating! Who can guess the ways of Search Engines. In any case, since we added Robin Frederick's wonderfully entertaining article A Brief History of Love Songs and began a more active link program, we seem to have improved our standing. Thanks for noticing, Yahoo!

We had a tremendous response to the lyrics of "Belleville Rendez-vous." The song was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song, though it didn't win. Seems like no one else had managed to translate this inspired mess of da-da nonsense. With some help from a friend in France, we managed to decipher most of it and kept it posted throughout the month of March. As you may have noticed, we carry very few lyrics on this site - just the ones for some of the featured songs each month. There are huge sites devoted to lyrics that do a much better job of it than we ever could.



We are have brought our Visitors' Choice Award contest to a close. We now have a list of Top 15 Visitors' Choice Love Songs plus finalists, not to mention our two lists of Visitors' Choice Wedding Songs, our regular Top 20 list and ALL our lists of favorite love song submissions. We will continue to accept submissions to the alphabetical lists, we just won't be entering them in a contest. This site is a labor of love and unfortunately the amount of time we can spend on it is limited. We refuse to carry banner ads and annoying pop-ups. You can help support us by buying the albums featured on our Catalog page. Thanks to all of you for making this such a great site!

We've added an Amazon.com link to many of our pages. Enter the title of your favorite love song and Amazon.com will list all available albums which include that song title. It's fun to see who has recorded your favorite love song!

PLEASE NOTE: One of our visitors recently pointed out that some songs labelled with a Red Heart are not appropriate for weddings or Valentine's Day. This is definitely true; some of our "Red Heart" songs are right for other occasions, such as the birth of a child ("With Arms Wide Open" by Creed). There are many times and many ways to celebrate love and there are songs for all of them. It would be difficult for us to be more specific in labelling the songs. Please check the lyrics before you use a song for a specific occasion. The lyrics for EACH ONE of the songs on this site can be found on the internet or we don't post it. When you find a song you're interested in, please use our search engine and follow the instructions to find the lyrics.

Our lists of favorite love songs are growing by leaps and bounds. As usual, we're posting new submissions every Wednesday. We've made our links to the alphabetical lists easier to use, hoping to encourage visitors to check the songlists before submitting. We hate to disappoint anyone but if a song has already been submitted, we cannot list it twice. (When you see two songs with the same title, they are two different songs.) We're all caught up on our listings so if you DON'T see a song listed, it's safe to go ahead and submit. I'm still surprised at some of the classic love songs that are only now making it onto the lists. ("The Way We Were" was just submitted two weeks ago!) So don't think that all the good ones have already been taken. PLUS there are great new love songs being released. "With Arms Wide Open," a recent release by Creed, won our Visitors' Choice Award.


A lot of our visitors have been listening to the streaming audio files we posted on the site. If you're not sure whether you have an mp3 player, go to our Try It page and click on the test audio sample. If you don't have an mp3 player you can download one for FREE. Links to the download sites are located on the Try It page.


You can hear streaming audio samples from CREATE LOVING RELATIONSHIPS and the album HOW FAR? HOW FAST? right here on our site. From the visualization tape we have chosen a 5-minute streaming audio sample that includes a portion of the guided relaxation and visualization as well as a mental imagery exercise so visitors can really get a sense of how the it works. There are also two full-length songs -- "Reasons To Love" and "Time Is On Our Side" -- which we think you will really enjoy. Take a moment and give a listen.


We are now getting 1500 to 2000 visitors per day. It's great to know there are so many people who love romantic, sexy, beautiful, wonderful love songs!
